Jingle All the Way with Smoky Mountain Christmas Parades

Pull out your jingle bells, Santa hat, and Holiday sweater!  It’s time to get into the spirit of the season with the annual Christmas parades throughout the Smoky Mountain area.  Join in on the fun and watch all the festive floats, costumed characters, while listening to the traditional music of the season.  Here’s our favorite Smoky Mountain Christmas parades.

Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade

For over four decades, Gatlinburg’s Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade has been kicking off the holiday season.  Grab your Santa hat and make plans December 6th to witness this award winning celebration.  Beginning at 7:30 pm, the parade will start at the Baskins Creek bypass and march all the way through the city, ending at light #10.  With marching bands, musicians, large balloons, and Santa himself, you’ll not want to miss this tradition. 

 

 

Sevierville’s 57th Annual Christmas Parade

What goes best with twinkling lights and holiday music? A parade of course! On Saturday, December 7th Sevierville’s Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 57th Annual Christmas Parade. From 11am – 1 pm, this local holiday tradition will wind its way through historic downtown Sevierville. This is one local tradition you don’t want to miss.

Parade of Many Colors

Why stop at only one parade when you can see one each night?  That’s exactly what Dollywood is providing this holiday season.  Beginning November 9th at 8:15 pm each night of operation, the Parade of Many Colors will light up the evening.  Created by Dolly, this parade includes interactive characters, colorful floats, and much more, this is one memory you and your family will share for years to come.

 

Townsend Christmas Parade

Known as “The Peaceful Side of the Smokies”, Townsend will host it’s annual Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 1st.  Just a short, scenic drive from Willow Brook Lodge, the parade will begin at IGA, wind its way through the city, and end at Nawger Nob Village.
