Spring Break Events in Pigeon Forge

A steam engine at the Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge.

March breezes bring more than April showers to the Pigeon Forge area!  The beginning of spring kicks off one of the best times to visit the Smoky Mountains.  There are so many fun, memory making area activities to choose from you may have trouble deciding which to do first!  To kick the season off, here are a few March events you don’t want to miss.

Titanic’s Tribute to the Irish

The Irish roots of the Titanic may be deeper than you think.  Not only was the Titanic built in Northern Ireland, it also carried 159 Irish passengers and crew on its maiden voyage, more than any other nationality on board.  As a tribute and to celebrate, the entire month of March is the Titanic Museum’s Annual Irish Celebration. From March 1 to 31, guests will be able to experience traditional Irish music, step dancing, storytellers and much more.  There’s something for everyone at this family-friendly celebration.

A Mountain QuiltfestTM

While patchwork patterns may have changed, the love of comfy quilts has not.  Originally created for warmth in the mountain winters, the first quilts were constructed from scrap material, like old clothes and stitched together with love.  The 26th Annual A Mountain Quiltfest TM held March 4 to 7, celebrates the art and heritage of quilting.  With classes based on skill level and technique, quilt show, vendors and more we’re “sew” sure you’ll enjoy every memory making minute you spend there.

Winter Carnival of Magic

For more than a decade, the Winter Carnival of Magic has brought some of the greatest magicians to Pigeon Forge.  This three day magic convention includes lectures, a dealer’s room, evening shows and more. This year’s lineup includes Jania Taylor, Master Payne, Andrew Remnet and a long list of others.  Make you plans today before the chance “disappears”.

Dollywood’s Festival of Nations

No matter where we are or where we come from, “we all smile the same language”.  What better way to both experience and celebrate that than by visiting Dollywood’s Festival of Nations?  This March 14 – April 20, the park celebrates the worlds music, food, culture and entertainment. Be surrounded by live music, costumed performers and the smell of exotic foods, all while never leaving Pigeon Forge.

Corvette Expo

You don’t have to own a Corvette to appreciate one and you can do that and more at the 43rd Annual Corvette Expo.  From March 20-21, the LeConte Center will be filled with fans, vendors, demonstrators and more.  This year’s events will include a Corvette Cruise to the Tail of the Dragon, Park N’ Show, a Judged Competition and more.  This family-friendly event will be fun for the “motor-head” in everyone!
